Biography

Josh started out in public accounting and eventually became controller for a muti-state, multi-million-dollar company before joining Frandsen Bank & Trust as a commercial loan officer in 2018. In 2022 he earned his AIF designation and became a wealth advisor for Frandsen Investment Services. He holds a CPA license, which many others in this role don't have. Josh brings his experience in tax planning and preparing tax returns to the table when creating financial plans and making investment-related decisions that are the most tax efficient.

By taking a proactive approach to understanding his clients’ investment time horizon, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, and investment preferences, Josh can help create a financial plan to meet those goals. Client meetings are an important tool for him to discuss portfolio performance and identify any life events that may require a change in the financial plan to meet new goals.

Josh has always been passionate about consulting, tax planning, and investment management. His position as a wealth advisor has allowed him to combine do all of these in one role, while creating relationships with clients to help them meet their financial goals.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys fishing and playing softball. His dogs—Ryley, a long-haired Dachshund, and Ivy, a Chiweenie—keep him busy too. He also serves on the board of the Pine County Agricultural Society, which is the nonprofit that runs the Pine County Fair.
