Hayward Celebrates 100 Years with Yearlong Community Giving Initiative

Frandsen Bank & Trust is celebrating 100 years of service at its Hayward location with a yearlong commitment to giving back to the community it is proud to call home.

The bank was incorporated on February 23, 1925, and opened for operations on March 2, 1925, with investments from 21 original stockholders. Operating today as Frandsen Bank & Trust, the organization remains family-owned and committed to community banking with a local president, onsite decision-making, and a focus on giving back.

To support the community they have called home for the past century, the Hayward team will dedicate 100 hours to volunteering and provide 100 meals to 100 families in need. The centennial celebration will continue throughout 2025.

“For 100 years, we’ve been more than just a bank. We’ve been a trusted partner, supporting customers, families, businesses, and our community,” says Susan Fibert, a business banker who has worked at Frandsen Bank for 10 years. “We are excited to celebrate this occasion by giving back in a meaningful way and continuing our legacy of service.”
