Celebrating Joan Anderson for Receiving Pioneer Banker Award

Joan Anderson is recognized as a Minnesota Bankers Association Banker Award recipient for 50 years of service.

Joan, customer service rep at the Foley, Minn, location, has had countless strong customer relationships during her 50-year tenure with Frandsen Bank & Trust. Joan's love for her work is evident in her personal connection with the public. When asked about her motivation, she shared,“I'm a real people person. I love the diversity of people and their stories. It's this human connection that makes my work so interesting and fulfilling. I truly enjoy helping our customers."

Dedicating 50 years to one company is truly a fading art. Joan continued to express her experience with Frandsen, adding, “When you love what you do, it’s not work! This is an old saying, just like me, but it's so true! It makes it easy to want to come to work every day, and it helps to have such a great team to be with. I’m grateful for having had these years with FB&T!"

We asked what advice she would give to a new banker starting at Frandsen Bank & Trust, se said, “Always remember that the customer is the main reason for having this job! The customer should always come first. Having a good attitude, being kind, understanding, and showing sympathy and empathy can make a big difference."

Outside of the office, Joan enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She is dedicated to watching football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs. In addition, she enjoys music, dancing, going to music shows and concerts, walking, hiking, and watching action-packed thriller movies.
