South Metro Celebrates Jim Friend Pioneer Award

Our South Metro market is excited to announce Jim Friend as a Pioneer Award recipient. This award is given to bankers celebrating 50 years in the banking industry.

Jim grew up in Bloomington and started his banking career as a sophomore in high school. He worked in many different capacities, enjoying and learning every role. Jim follows the Golden Rule: “Treat people the way you would like people to treat you.” Jim takes great satisfaction in knowing that he has helped clients achieve their financial goals and successes. His clients are more than just customers; they are lifelong relationships that he has developed over the years.

Jim's commitment to his community is as strong as his dedication to banking. He is an active member of the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce, having served as its chairman, and is also a member of the Dakota County Chamber and the Apple Valley Rotary Club. His philanthropic efforts extend to the Boy Scouts of America, where he has played a significant role in fundraising.

Jim enjoys spending time with his family and friends outside of the office. When he is not attending his grandchildren’s events, he loves to spend time outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing.
