Frandsen Bank & Trust and Lakes Region/St. Croix Valley EMS Partner to Supply AEDs to the Polk County Sheriff’s Department

Charvey Spencer, president of Frandsen Bank & Trust’s Luck office, announced that the bank donated 35 portable automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to the Polk County Sheriff’s Department and will pay for training of the officers who will use them. Lakes Region/St. Croix Valley EMS assisted by coordinating acquisition of the AEDs, getting them set up for use, and facilitating training of the officers.

Spencer states, “Frandsen Bank is an ardent supporter of the communities we serve, as well as many other communities in our service area.” He continues, “This donation will allow the Polk County Sheriff’s Department to supply all 20 patrol cars and all 15 command and investigator vehicles with AEDs. Until now, none of the Polk County Sheriff’s vehicles have had this life-saving equipment. According to the FDA, CPR and early defibrillation shortly after sudden cardiac arrest can be effective in helping save lives.”
